SafetyWing Group only recognizes a visitor's IP address and does not collect any information without the visitor voluntarily providing such information. When requesting a quote, SafetyWing Group may ask for basic information about you (e.g. date of birth, citizenship, home country). Only after you have decided to complete an Application for Insurance do we ask for more detailed personal information (e.g. name, address).

To ensure that online transactions and data are protected, SafetyWing uses advanced encryption technology through the use of 128-bit Secure Socket Layer. This technology allows SafetyWing to use advanced encryption tools to protect all information transmitted between the outside source and the internal server. SafetyWing restricts access of personal information to employees. Any employee that SafetyWing Inc. determines is in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination and criminal prosecution.
SafetyWing will use personal information only in ways that are compatible with the purposes for which it was collected and in accordance with this Policy. SafetyWing will take reasonable steps to ensure that personal information is relevant to its intended use, accurate, complete, and current. However, we depend on our policyholders, producers, and users to update their personal information when necessary.
Cookies are tiny files that are placed on your computer to uniquely identify your internet browser. SafetyWing only utilizes cookies to track session information after an insured or producer has logged into one of SafetyWing secure zones of our website. You can configure your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, doing so will prevent access to these secure areas.
Upon request, SafetyWing will grant individuals reasonable access to personal information that it holds about them. In addition, SafetyWing will take reasonable steps to permit individuals to correct, amend, or delete information that is clearly demonstrated to be inaccurate or incomplete except where the burden or expense of providing access would be disproportionate to the risks to the individual's privacy in the case in question, or where the rights of persons other than the individual would be violated.
You have the right to opt out of or prevent the disclosure of non-public personal financial information to non-affiliated third parties, other than those permitted by law. This option applies to the services that SafetyWing provides to you. Presently, SafetyWing does not share or exchange such information. The insurance plan administrator will not disclose information to non-affiliated third parties, other than those permitted by law.

When transferring data from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and Switzerland, Safety Nest Inc relies upon a variety of legal mechanisms, including contracts with our users. Safety Nest Inc is subject to oversight by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. JAMS is the US-based independent organization responsible for reviewing and resolving complaints about our Privacy Shield compliance — free of charge to you. We ask that you first submit any such complaints directly to us via email@example.com . If you aren’t satisfied with our response, please contact JAMS. In the event your concern still isn’t addressed by JAMS, you may be entitled to a binding arbitration under Privacy Shield and its principles.

Safety Nest Inc also will take reasonable steps to enable individuals to correct, amend, or delete personal data that is demonstrated to be inaccurate.
Safety Nest Inc is responsible for the processing of personal data it receives, under the Privacy Shield Framework, and subsequent transfers to a third party acting as an agent on its behalf. Safety Nest Inc complies with the Privacy Shield Principles for all onward transfers of personal data from the EU, including the onward transfer liability provisions.
