Pha-Ngan International Hospital

While my on-call nurse was kind she seemed a bit confused and was asking me what I’d like her to do when I described my symptoms. There was no doctor in the whole hospital (just via phone at 10pm) and the overall attitude of the staff was quite rude and a bit negligent. I nurse who was fitting my cannula jabber me multiple times and was very tough, chatting away and laughing with a colleague. Most of the staff were just sitting around in there phones and seemed irritated to be interrupted. Overall I’m grateful to have been treated but not somewhere you want to be when you’re vulnerable. I was seen quickly however and the doctor the following day was knowledgeable and the experience was quick and efficient.

They were nice and efficient, I recommend arriving early in the morning.

Staff has very limited English; communication required repeating questions 2-3 times. The tooth X-ray was only successful on the second attempt. No doctor was available on-site, requiring a wait for an appointment. The main advantage is the very cheap pricing.

Extremely efficient and professional hospital/ treatment station

I went to Koh Phangan Hospital and had a really good experience. It’s a very simple, local hospital, but it’s open 24/7 and everything was always quick and efficient. I received treatment right away, the whole process was very straightforward, and the staff were kind and helpful.
