IMC Med Hospitals

This was one of the most distressing medical experiences I’ve ever had. I arrived after severe histamine poisoning and, although the initial emergency treatment was prompt, the clinic immediately demanded a USD 500 deposit with no clear explanation of costs. Communication was poor and very little English was spoken. After stabilising, I was transferred to the state hospital, but the clinic has repeatedly refused to provide a final invoice despite many requests. My rings also went missing after travelling in the clinic’s private vehicle, CCTV reviewed with the police showed I had the rings before entering the car but not afterwards. The local police told us the clinic has a reputation for overcharging tourists and advised us to take the matter to the tourism board, noting it is the only nearby clinic. The entire situation left me extremely distressed, and I cannot recommend this facility.

Staff at IMC Med were friendly, helpful and I was seen almost instantly. My dad (who is a paramedic in the UK) was with me and he was impressed by the professionalism and skills of the team. Everything was all clean and sterile too
