I was treated here after being hit by a car while riding a motorbike in Dumaguete. I came in with a concussion, rib injuries, cuts, bruising, and had lost consciousness multiple times after the accident. Unfortunately, our experience at this hospital was extremely disappointing and honestly concerning. We stayed for two days, and during that time the level of care felt very poor. Basic medical supplies and wound care items were not readily provided, and my partner had to help care for me while she was injured herself. Communication was also very confusing, and it often felt like no one knew what was happening or what the next step was. The most troubling part was that I barely saw a doctor during my stay. For someone who had suffered a head injury and lost consciousness, I expected much more careful monitoring, clearer communication, and a higher standard of care. I’m grateful to the individual staff members who were kind, but overall this was fairly poor

The medical care I received at the hospital was actually good, and the staff did a decent job considering the dramatic conditions often found in the Philippines. However, the fact that the Medical Records Office is closed on weekends and cannot issue formal medical documentation is an absolute disaster. It is a catastrophe for international patients who need to provide proof of treatment to their insurance providers and are traveling on a schedule. The medical service is okay, but the administrative system is completely broken.
