The staff at the hospital I went to couldnt speak any english so it was difficult. Sometimes my translation app wouldn't work or I wouldn't understand what they were talking about. But they were quite patient and nice and they were able to direct me everywhere. The doctor spoke a little english and told me to rest and drink lots of water in english which was nice. The people were friendly. I thought it was kind of them to walk me directly to tne pharmacy staff when I needed to collect prescribed medication. All the forms were in Japanese though and luckily I could translate using my phone and Google what I didn't understand. It could be harder for someone less tech savvy.
