BIMC Ubud 24 Hour Medical Centre

The medical center was clean, very efficient, and I had received a consultation, X-Ray, route of treatment, and necessary medications within one hour of arriving. The staff were incredibly polite, attentive, and kind. They offered additional specialists if I chose to pursue further support and were upfront about pricing without trying to upsell me in any way. The doctor attempted to read my X-Rays and was incorrect, then sent them off to the radiologist. This caused a bit of anxiety due to the news I received, but I had an official reading within 5-10 minutes. They did not have a splint in stock but offered to order it for me (a bit more expensive than I would expect...2x the total of my entire visit just for the splint that I did not decide to get). A hospital in the US could never provide this efficient of an experience! Despite the brief scare on the diagnosis and lack of splint options, this could not have been a better visit.

I am very impressed by the BIMC in Ubud. It's a small clinic, an offshoot of the larger hospital of the same name, yet inside they seem to offer a wide range of services, with even an X-ray, and a pharmacy. Staff were very professional.

BIMC is where I will always go in an emergency in Bali.

It was ok. Not terrible but there was some miscommunication regarding antibiotics -- they sent me home with a steroid cream and told me it was an antibiotic cream, so there was added stress when I found out -- and also I think they treated my wound a little aggressively which led to prolonged healing, but the doctor was very kind and gave me a lot of attention through ongoing texting about my wound. Long waits to get the medications. lots of paperwork and waiting. I healed well but it took a lot of time/energy and some confusion.
