Royal Medika Healthcare

I have lived in Kuta, Lombok for several years now and always attend Royal Medika Kuta for medical issues requiring blood tests, specific diagnosis, etc as I find their services to be far more reasonably priced than others in town, with very fast results and helpful staff.

The doctors' English is quite good and all the staff are quite young. The doctors seemed knowledgeable and competent. One nurse did seem to struggle finding my vein though and I asked for a different nurse. The doctors are happy to give free medical advice and prescribe and sell medication only just talking over the reception desk without formally admitting you first. The clinic building is quite new and open 24 hours but anything specialized might be a referral to a specialist at the island capital as the doctors are generalists and it's not a hospital. They are able to do blood tests on site. The clinic is clearly geared for tourists as are the rest in the area. Getting a cost estimate first is possible. Credit cards incur a 3% fee. Apparently they do house calls as well as arranging transport to the clinic for a fee You can also attempt to speak to a doctor over WhatsApp.

The clinic was clean and the staff were kind. However, communication in English was quite difficult, so I felt a bit unsure about some explanations. Overall, I’m grateful for the care, but the language barrier made the experience more complicated.

I had a great experience with the hospital and the staff. I requested home care because I was to weak to go to the hospital and they arrived super quick with everything they needed to give me a quick initial treatment and exams

Doctor Gasim was great. Explained all of my results clearly and was very friendly. The clinic is quite small and local given it's in a small town. I think they sent off my samples to a bigger hospital on the island. The person who took my blood didn't do a great job as I had a huge bruise on my arm for a week or so afterwards.
