Hospital Metropolitano staff were friendly, I was seen quickly. My Dr spoke English and my results of tests were given in English, note other staff like reception, security, triage, and those doing testing spoke no English or a few words. Was a good experience.

The staff at Hospital Metropolitano Quito were very helpful, reassuring and we received a doctor who spoke perfect English to give us a full exam and explanation of treatment and diagnosis. The hospital was very well equipped, clean and efficient.

Very attentive and responsive staff, always available and up to date

I had to visit Hospital Metropolitano in Quito, Ecuador for an emergency. Although there were only a few staff members who spoke fluent English, they were very attentive and made a great effort to communicate using Google Translate. Their explanations were extremely clear and polite, which made me feel very reassured and safe. The hospital facilities were very clean and well-maintained. Security personnel were regularly patrolling the premises, so I had no concerns about safety. Since it’s a very large hospital, it was a bit difficult to figure out which building I needed to go to. So I headed directly to the emergency department, and they responded to my case right away. They accept various credit cards, and I got the impression that they are quite experienced in dealing with travelers like me. Overall, I was very satisfied with the care I received.
